Self-Compassion Break
A self-compassion break is a simple moment where you stop, acknowledge how you're feeling, and respond to yourself with kindness instead of criticism. When stress, frustration, or self-doubt shows up, take a slow breath and quietly recognize the moment: “This is hard right now.”
Then remind yourself that being human means struggling sometimes. You’re not the only one who feels this way. Finally, offer yourself the same kindness you would give a friend—maybe a hand on your heart, a deep breath, or a gentle thought like, “May I be patient with myself.”
Mindfulness isn’t about pushing feelings away. It’s about meeting yourself exactly where you are—with awareness, softness, and compassion. Sometimes that small pause is all it takes to shift from harsh self-judgment to quiet understanding.
